1 Journey into the Rainforest
By: Lou and Joshua

2 What is a Rainforest? A Rainforest is a place where most of the world’s animals live. The Rainforest rains at least once a day.

3 Location of Rain Forests
Rainforests are located in lots of places by the equator such as the one in Brazil.

4 Emergent Layer The Emergent Layer is the highest layer of the rainforest.The rainforest’s tallest trees are in this layer.

5 Canopy Layer The canopy is the second highest layer in the rainforest. Most of the rainforest’s animals live here such as lizards, snakes, and toucans.

6 Understory Layer The Understory layer is the layer second to the bottom. Most plants live In the Understory such as fern and the pitcher plant.

7 Forest Floor The Forest Floor is the very bottom of the Rainforest. Many intersting plants and animals live on the forest floor such as Jaguars, Iguanas, Armadillos, and Rafflesia.

8 Deforestation Many rainforests are being destroyed. People are killing many plants and animals.

9 People of the Rain Forest
People even live in the rainforest. That’s right people.They have lived there for many years.There are many tribes who live in the Rainforests.

10 Iguanas Iguanas are Reptiles that live in the canopy. They eat plants and crickets..

11 The Iguana and The Tree Frog
Once there was an Iguana and a Tree Frog they always fought over food. One day flys were for dinner. There was only one left. The two decided to have a race. When the race began the frog started hopping. Iguana was sneaky. He threw a rock in the dining room. The tree frog went to go see what happened. The iguana climbed up the tree and towards the finish line. A moment later the tree frog saw the iguana and he looked full THE END

12 Harpy Eagles Harpy Eagles are birds that live in the Emergent layer. They eat monkeys, sloths,and iguanas.

13 Monkeys Their are different types of monkeys. Some are very loud. 0thers don’t touch the ground for their whole life!

14 Macaws Macaws live in the canopy.They have many different colors such as blue, orange, and yellow.

15 Ocelots Ocelots live in the forest floor.They are cats that eat small rodents.

16 Conclusion Many people are trying to save the rainforest and some places have already stopped deforestation.Thank you for watching Lou and Joshua’s PowerPoint
