1 Year 6 Residential 12-15 July 2016
A Wildchild Adventure is more than simply an activity day or a residential trip. We offer schools a unique and inspirational opportunity to take children out of their classroom and their comfort zone. Capitalising on the unique benefits of outdoor learning - our activities are designed to inspire children, allowing them to discover hidden talents and connect with the outdoors.

2 Welcome to Camp! 6 children max in a tent No mixed tents
Teachers spread around the campsite in clearly marked tents Paths clearly marked Toilet/shower block nearby Night toilet closer

3 Where is it? Phasels Wood Activity Centre is 3 miles from Junction 20 of the M25 towards Hemel Hempstead on the A41

4 What are the activities?
4 x Groups of approx 15 1 x teacher per group 1x instructor per activity 2x Wildchild leaders to oversee activities and campsite during the night.

5 What are the other activities?
Kayaking Tobogganing Abseiling Low ropes Team-building Archery Survival Skills

6 Old trainers, swimwear and an old t-shirt and jumper for kayaking activities.
Flip flops for shower room

7 Mobile phones, iPADS, consoles or similar devices are not permitted
Cameras are not required as every team leader will be responsible for taking pictures Any such items will be confiscated and returned at the end of the visit. No snacks, sweets etc are allowed, with the exception of a clearly No money is required due to no shop facilities. Studded earrings and watches are permitted, but no other form of jewellery. Hair must be tied up if below shoulder length during all activities.

9 Food! Breakfast: 8:30 – 9:30 Selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit and a hot choice Lunch: 12:30 – 1:30 Hot snack – eg jacket potato Dinner: 5:30 – 6:30 Selection of hot meals, salad bar and drinks Evening: 8:30 – 9:30 Hot chocolate and a biscuit around the campfire

10 Facilities and Health and Safety Information:
Showerblock and toilets – not mixed Campsite night toilet Teachers within camp – in clearly identified tents Risk assessments completed and visit authorised by LEA First aid trained instructors and school staff Fully qualified instructors to lead activities. Positive encouragement to ‘have a go’ however children won’t be made to participate in an activity if they don’t want to Wildchild Activity Centre number: for emergency use only.

Kit list – contact us if anything is a problem Letter to children – give to teacher before departure Children can send a letter/postcard home – you provide SAE and give to teacher before departure.
