My Methodology Conducted an Online Survey Via Facebook
Anonymous to maintain integrity of responses Demographic questions were asked pertaining to race, gender and current involvement with law enforcement and/or criminal activity. Additional questions were thrown into the mix of survey questions that were not used to prevent respondents from knowing the exact nature of the study. Survey Bias 25% in some way had law enforcement affiliations About 88% had NO known criminal record Majority of people answering the survey are/were: In my friendship circle, family, co-workers, as well as general acquaintances. (was shared outside my profile) I was not in search of particular results, I was searching for the truth.

MY Results 97 Total responses - The majority (~89%) of my response where from white folks which, in some ways hindered my statistics In short, I found that (~86%) of people found that the within the past 10 years perceptions of law enforcement have become a little more negative or more negative. However, When question if police do an excellent job, (~68%) stated they agreed in some way with (~24% neither agree nor disagree). So the view of the perception is much worse than the actual perception. It should also be noted that when asked if law enforcement officers profile based of race or ethnicity, the majority (~38%) agreed in some way with (~25%) neither agreeing nor disagreeing. (~28%) disagreeing in some way.

Discussion Survey results were unexpected in multiple ways
Enlightening that that many white people viewed that law enforcement profile based of race or ethnicity. The 3rd person view of perceptions of police are found to be more negative than the actual perceptions of police. Which may be due to scholarly research findings that African-Americans were find to perceive police more negatively. (Had 0 African-Americans respondents) (qtd. (Benson 45-64) So questioned has been answered about the actual perceptions, at least sort of, due to the bias I can’t come to a complete conclusion.

Conclusion After completing all of the research and analyzing all data. To get an answer to some of these questions it will take very large scale survey and years of study. The most reasonable conclusion is in part due to racial tensions between police and community and the natural tension between police and criminal world. Bottom line, I believe the biggest factor to causing this is due to language, imagines and memes created and posted on social media websites. These are viewed everyday thousands of times. With that said, my survey it’s self was posted on social media so, they if they are utilizing my Facebook profile, they more than likely view the rhetoric memes and language everyday. (#Bluelivesmatter &#Blacklives matter) have started a language war)
