OCS Configuration Software:
9 Cscape
2
IEC Integration Cscape 9 has full integration of IEC language editing.
Choose between Advanced Ladder or one of the five IEC standard languages (SFC, FBD, LD, ST, IL) while editing in the main Cscape window with all it's advantages like Project Navigator or Tab system.
3
MJ2 as a programming port
Any XL series user can now switch between MJ1 or MJ2 being the Default Programming Port. This feature is available on XL series units and is targeted for users of communication add-on cards (which occupy MJ1 port). Now when MJ2 is selected the user can still: monitor/debug download/upload projects use Envision RV/FX
4
Project Toolbox Project Toolbox is our new approach to programming in Cscape. New dockable window allows a faster and easier access to all instructions and function blocks. Drag & Drop technique simplifies the programming process, whether it is Advanced Ladder or IEC project.
5
Recipes Cscape 9 has extended recipe facilities incorporated. These will be based on the TIU Recipe Functionality. Recipes are supported by logic blocks (load & save) and graphic objects (load, save, edit and view). Each recipe is stored as a separate CSV file on the removable media card.
6
Reports Cscape 9 has printing facilities incorporated. These will be available either from a serial port, from the inbuilt Centronics interface where the port is available, or as a text file to removable media file. In this release the printouts will support text printing, confined to the ASCII character set, with embedded data from PLC registers.
7
Support This feature is designed to send messages containing real time data of the controller. Initially only sending through the built-in Ethernet port is supported (Receiving, GPRS support & file attachments in the future) Configuration (similar to SMS messaging) can be done in a few simple steps: Configure SMTP Server Define Target Directory Create Outgoing messages Assign a Trigger bit and configure Data Fields as needed.
8
External Data in Graphic Objects
data is configured in the devices native format. When embedding data on to a screen from an external device connected using configurable protocols in an OCS project, it is currently required to map that data into OCS registers and then display the data on the screen. Cscape 9 provides for embedding registers directly in to a graphics object giving three major benefits. Easy of programming Reduced register usage Data transferred only when required
9
Data Logger Extensions
The data logger is now enhanced to: Support for very slow process logging (Weekly Logging) Allow user specified log filenames Allow larger logging groups Add a default directory for the files.
10
IO Remapping Previously when upgrading Classic OCS units with the FOX IO system but without rear mounted IO such as Color Touch OCS (OCS300 Series) and SVGA OCS units (OCS400/500/600 Series) to NX/QX platform with rear mounted IO the user had to make significant changes to the program IO addressing. Now the IO Remapping feature allows I/O references to be carried forward from a legacy system (OCS300/400/500/600) to an X Product System (NX/QX) without any changes to the I/O addressing required.
11
Alarms to Removable Media
The Alarm system can now automatically generate Excel compatible CSV log files. Logs can be generated daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. A variety of time and date formats are supported.
12
USB Flash Drive Support
The USB A port on the XL6, XL6e, QX351 and QX751 have been enabled in the firmware release. Ladder functions are enabled to allow access to the second storage drive. Enhancements to the copy and delete functions allow easy transfer of files from the internal memory card to the USB flash memory.
13
Search and Error Output
A docked output window provides search and error information. Clicking on a search or error item will jump to that section of code.
14
Serial Number System Register
%SR35-36 is used to hold a unique serial number for controllers. For units with built-in Ethernet, this will be the last portion of the MAC ID. For units with add-on Ethernet or no Ethernet this serial number will be factory assigned when firmware or later is provided.
15
Free Running Timer Firmware or latter will allow access to %SR This provides a free running timer that constantly increments. It has a resolution of 0.1 milliseconds and is updated at the beginning of each scan.
16
Corrected Issues %D contacts/coils are enabled again for OCS300 based products. Remote terminal screen display corrected for Nx22x products. Fix for allowing baud rate timeout in XLt products. Export to Envision RV corrected. Update FPGA only for NX now queries for model type. Corrections to Model numbers for XL6e and Xle no Net. Fixes to DeviceNet configuration download. (Removed error and download abort when no nodes were configured). XL Profibus and XL I/O module Ranges reporting corrected. Several fixes on J1939 following first review. Ethernet downloadable protocols enabled on Qx351.
