In paris is open to visitors grave Oscar Wilde. Strange ritual kisses cover the grave of Oscar Wilde appeared in the 1990s. During his lifetime he was twice sentenced to prison for kissing a man. Therefore Wilde himself tied a manifestation of love with the symbol of danger or death.

14 Interesting facts: Wilde had photographic memory
Oscar Wilde was fond of languages. He learned and practiced German, French, Italian and Ancient Greek. Last words of Wilde were «My wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. One or another of us has got to go.»

15 My favorite work of Oscar Wilde and quotes from books
The first literary composition that I read was a The Picture of Dorian Gray. This amazing book. I went to a performance of this artwork and it was startling!

16 Oscar Wilde made his life a novel: «I was a man who stood in symbolic relations to the art and culture of my age. I had realised this for myself at the very dawn of my manhood, and had forced my age to realise it afterwards.»

17 Is that Wilde was trying to prove with his life: «The artist is the creator of beautiful things. To reveal art and conceal the artist is art's aim. The critic is he who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things.

18 The highest as the lowest form of criticism is a mode of autobiography
The highest as the lowest form of criticism is a mode of autobiography. Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope.

19 They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only beauty
They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only beauty. There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.»
