4 “Noodle Moussaka” What is Moussaka? Today!
Moussaka is a Greek dish made of layers of meat(or meat sauce), eggplants, and potatoes and oven-baked with bechamel sauce. Moussaka means ‘gratin’ in Greek, which refers a dish baked in an oven. We will replace potatoes with noodles and create our own sauce with milk, cheese and stock powder. Today!

“Noodle Moussaka” ■ Ingredients 1 instant noodles (Anseongtangmyeon) eggplant potato onion garlic tomato ground beef egg yolk cheddar cheese red wine milk olive oil salt & pepper

olive oil 2.0 T ground beef 100 g salt 5.0 eggplant 1  개  pepper 0.5 tomato [Cheese Sauce] onion 1/2 milk 300. garlic clove 2 stock powder 4.5 6.0 cheddar cheese red wine 50.0 ml egg yolk

8 “Noodle Moussaka” ★ How to Cook Moussaka ★
1. Chop off the stem of the eggplant. Cut it in half and slice each half 0.7cmthin. Sprinkle salt and pepper. 2. Dice the tomato, onion, and garlic cloves. 3. Drizzle 1T olive oil onto a heated pan and fry the sliced eggplant front and back until it gets brown. 4. Drizzle 1T olive oil onto a heated pan and stir-fry the garlic. 5. Add the onion when the garlic turn brown and keep stir-frying. When the onion become soft, add the beef and keep stir-frying. 6. Pour the red wine and stir-fry until the alcohol wears away. 7. Add the diced tomato, stock powder, salt, and pepper and stir-fry for 2 min. to make meat sauce. 8. Cook the noodles in boiling water for 3 min., rinse them with cold water and drain them. 9. Boil the milk with the stock powder in a pot for 3 min. Turn off the stove and stir the milk with a whisk to cool it down. 10. Add cheddar cheese and egg yolk as you keep stirring. Boil for 1 more min. to make cheese sauce. 11. Layer the pan-fried eggplant, meat sauce, noodles, cheese sauce, meat sauce, and cheese sauce in a foil dish. Bake it in the oven preheated to 200℃ for 10 min.
