Specialized cells function together in tissues, organs, organ systems, and the whole organism. 6.Specialized cells –the smallest form of life 7.Tissues are groups of similar cells working together to perform a specific task. Examples: cell tissue epithelial tissue connective tissue muscle tissue nervous tissue
