El Verbo “IR” to go Do you remember what the verb “ir” means?
We used it back in Unit 3A to express something we were going to do in the near future: Yo voy a estudiar esta noche. (compound verb) We are now going to use it to state WHERE we are going. Yo voy a escuela. (single verb) to go

When IR is followed by a verb, it expresses future plans.
When IR is followed by a noun, it expresses destination
