3 08/08/11 08/08/11 08/08/11 Responsibilities Maintain LCC training material on various aspects of SWE operations plus leadership and management skills necessary for SWE success Develop new LCC training material (modules) Provide consultation services and training to: sections at the local level (includes a small travel budget) sections and regions through the region conferences all levels of SWE at the Society Annual Conference. 3 3

08/08/11 08/08/11 08/08/11 Process, Achievements, Current Tasks Professional members must interview for LCC and attend a “train the trainer” session at an annual LCC meeting (i.e. at conference) Recently, delivered training webinars to over 100 section & region leaders Currently, preparing for: coaching at region leadership summits & 3 sessions at WE11 focused on... Membership, Fund Development & Succession Planning 4 4

5 08/08/11 08/08/11 08/08/11 Committee Structure LCC has at least one coach per region (preferably more) Within each region the coaches act as a team and share responsibility for supporting sections directly and at the region conference Individuals focus on any or all of these: Development of the modules Coaching at sections or via web 1 on 1 coaching via phone 5 5

6 Time Commitment Monthly Commitment: 2-8 hours
08/08/11 08/08/11 08/08/11 Time Commitment Monthly Commitment: 2-8 hours Quarterly LCC conference calls: 1 hour Individual work per session prep: 2 hours (2-4 per year) Responding to sections’ requests or questions Coordinating logistics for coaching sessions Modifying modules to fit section needs Monthly or bi-monthly region council conference calls: hours ea. Travel time to sections, Region Leadership Summit, Region Conference and Society Conference. Special projects (i.e. new module creation, national training webinar delivery, collaboration with other SWE committees): hours (one time only, as volunteered for) 6 6
