4 Things that UCC Careers Service cannot do:
Recommend students or graduates to employers. Find work for you! Write your CV or LinkedIN profile. Proofread your CV or LinkedIN profile. Answer detailed queries on your entitled to work in Ireland. Provide specific, exhaustive lists of companies in Ireland who have hired people from your country in the past – or companies in your country who have hired graduates of your course. (However, we CAN provide feedback on your applications and support your career research).

6 How can you help yourself?
Update your CV and LinkedIN profile. Subscribe to relevant job sites. Attend relevant upcoming Careers Service events. Join relevant professional/industry networks and attend events in person if possible. Explore the option of starting your own business. Prepare at least two people to be your “referees”. Write a cover letter for a job you really want. Use voluntary experience (e.g. UCC Works internship) to gain relevant skills. Put yourself forward for a “role of responsibility” to gain career-relevant skills (e.g. Clubs and Societies). Book a “practice interview”.
