Daily routines provide a balanced variety of experiences. “Children engage in both individual and social play, participate in small and large groups, assist with cleanup, socialize during meals, develop self-care skills, and exercise their small and large muscles” (pg. 13-Essentials of Active Learning in Preschool)

3. Routines serve purposes in our lives
Routines serve purposes in our lives. It allows us to be organized and efficient. “When we follow a routine we feel a sense of control and are less likely to forget things or make careless errors.” (pg. 55-Essentials of Active Learning in Preschool)
