Great News
Well, it looks like we have all survived the first days of school. That is a great accomplishment! The kids are settling into our daily routine and Mrs. Versen is slowly following. I am enjoying getting to know your children. It is going to be a SUPER year
in First Grade!
Weekly Bible Verses
This week began the recitation of our weekly Bible verses. The kids can recite the first verse of each week on either Monday morning or Tuesday morning. The second Bible verse of the week can be recited on either Thursday or Friday mornings. These Bible verses are relevant to the Bible stories we will be learning about each week.
Weekly Reading Log
The Weekly Reading Log is found in the Reading Log sleeve of the Bee Book on the first day of each school week. I will collect the reading log on the last day of the school week.
September Chapel Offering
The children have the opportunity to bring an offering to chapel on Wednesday mornings. This month Bethlehem will be collecting food items to share with the local food pantry. Cans and boxes of food are appropriate items to bring this month.
Lunch
The children are doing a great job eating at lunch. We encourage them to eat most of what you send in their lunch boxes, starting with the healthy food items. We ask them to bring home what they
don’t eat so you have an idea of
what your child is consuming in that 20 minute period. Please send utensils and napkins as needed. HEAT-UPS must be labeled with names.

Don’t forget to label your child’s heat-up food items with their name!
