4. Primary Colors

These are the colors formed by mixing a primary and a secondary color.
That's why the hue is a two word name, such as blue-green, red-violet, and yellow-orange.

9. Complementary Colors
2 colors that are across from one another on the color wheel
When mixed together they create brown
Adding a complement decreases the intensity of the color

3 or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel.
Ex: Red, red-violet, violet, blue-violet.

11. Triadic Colors
3 colors that are evenly spaced around the color wheel and create a triangle
Ex.
Red, Blue, Yellow

12. MONOCHROMATIC
Color scheme using just one color in different values (tints and shades
Tint: Color + White
Shade: Color + Black

13. Split Complementary
In addition to the base color, it uses the two colors adjacent (next to) to its complement.
Ex. Green, red -violet, red-orange
