Going Places Before beginning the presentation, and after students have written down the qualities they think a “good” friend should have, ask students to assess if they possess those specific qualities? Using English Everywhere You Go

What do you like most about your hometown? When is the best time to be there? Where is it located? Why do/did you live there? How many people live there? Who do you know there?

What Place is This? An Airport What can you do at an airport?

6 What can you do at this dock?
What Place is This? A Dock What can you do at this dock?

7 What can you do at a bus stop?

When does it get cold and hot in this area? Where is it located in the country? How successful is business here? Why do people like it here? Who do you visit in this area?

15 National Who lives in your country? What is famous here?
When do most people travel? Where do people like to travel? Why do they like to travel here? How many times do you visit other places in your country? What places are most famous?

16 International Who has been abroad before?
If so, then where did you go? Who would like to go overseas? Where would you most like to visit? When would be the best time to go there? Why? What would you like to do there? How long would you like to stay? If money was no object, then which countries would you travel to?

17 Travel Considerations!
When traveling, we must consider both sides, “good” & “bad” Pros (Possible good things) Cons (Possible bad things) See… Take… Lose… Get… Learn… Buy… Eat… Forget… Misplace… Be… Explore… Become… Spend…

18 Use What You’ve Learned!
Using the information we’ve gone over, ask questions to each other (examples below): Where do you like to travel? Why do you like to go there? How often do you travel? Who do you travel with? What is your favorite thing to do while traveling? When do you usually travel? Be careful of what you put into print/photo’s online. Once it is out there it is out there and there is NO retrieval. DO NOT put anything online that you would not say to the person face-to-face. Think about the consequences of what you put online- How is it going to make others feel? Is it really important to post? Could it impact someone’s future? Could it impact your future? This is where we can reinforce Passive, Aggressive, Assertive behaviors.
