Social networks are defined as an online community of internet users, which help people connect with others.
Social network sites (SNSs) such as MySpace, Facebook, Cyworld, and Bebo have attracted millions of users, many of whom have integrated these sites into their daily practices.

SixDegrees.com was the first recognizable social network site launched in SixDegrees promoted itself as a tool to help people connect with and send messages to others

5. My space
It began in 2003.
This social network has gained an important role in the music industry, since lots of post news and free samples of their music to promote themselves.

6. Facebook
Facebook started in 2004, at the beginning this social networks was only available for Harvard students, but it quickly expanded globally.
Facebook allows people to reconnect with people they haven’t seen in years, as well as to improve their social life.

7. twitter.
Twitter is a social network which has become a source of breaking news and rumors involving mostly celebrities ( sport stars and Hollywood stars). The project of twitter started in 2006, but it has changed a lot since its beginning.
