3. Contents
Production Automation Management (6ECTS) production logistics, quality control, batch processing, simulation
Control & Monitoring Systems (6ECTS)
control/monitoring/configuration systems: distributed control systems, PLC, SCADA, industrial networks
Actuators & Sensors (6ECTS)
electrical/non-electrical actuators, dc/ac motors, servomotors, motion control, pneumatics, sensor principles, selection & application of actuators & sensors
Vision (6ECTS)
principles of hardware components for machine vision, design principles and design cases, vision software algorithms
Intelligent Control (6ECTS)
advanced control theory, adaptive & learning control systems
Project Industrial Automation (6ECTS) integrating knowledge and skills of the other modules; interdisciplinary teams; specification, design, realization & testing
Every student choses four from the five modules and participates in the Project.
Mechanical Engineering students cannot chose Intelligent Control.
Electrical Engineering EPA students cannot chose Control & Monitoring systems.

Saxion bachelor program: Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Computer Sciences, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering
External students from Bachelor of Engineering programs
Propaedeutic exam passed
WB students: completed the following courses: Technische Automatisering, Computerbesturingen, Project Automatisering, Aandrijftechniek, Regeltechniek 1
