Homework Weekly tasks: Spelling activity – Owl booklet Maths task
Reading for enjoyment Recommended time: minutes per evening or minutes per week. Not including reading Please check and sign it each week Stop if you reach the recommended time and let us know of any difficulties. ML – Hopefully you would have seen the homework jotters that came home this week – and last week a little booklet of spelling activities with an owl on the front – we suggest that you do a few of those activities a week with their spelling words. We will be sending home a maths task but books don’t go home from school. Instead we encourage you to help your child choose a book to read for enjoyment each night. As you can see, our recommended times are minutes a night – but we understand that kids have lots of activities after school so do not feel that it is set in stone. Homework should fit around your child’s life.

Housekeeping Toileting Naming uniform Water bottles Dojo Points
ML – Please let your child’s teacher know if there are any toileting issues that you don’t think we are aware of. We encourage children to use their break times to use the toilet as going during class time can impact on their learning, but of course we know that in particular that afternoon slot is long. Please put your child’s name on their uniform – it makes life easier for you and us! We can easily return items and children can find items much easier if they are named. Water bottles should come full to school each day and go home each day – they are there for children to sip at through the day and can be refilled at school if needed We all have class Dojo points in P3 – it is a shared reward system between the students and teachers and as such we are not asking for parents to connect to it at this time.
