Let’s Talk What is Diversity? Define Diversity in your own words
How does diversity impact learning and instruction? Option open discussion think of a bias or judgmental moment where you could have possibly lost a child’s interest or affected his or her educational

Ideas Inclusion – Actively promote respect, understanding and INCLUSION for all students in our classrooms through education, dialogue and transformational change. Intersections - Focus on the multiple dimensions of diversity and the INTERSETIONS across and between groups. Introspection - Bring people together from all backgrounds to look INTROSPECTIVLEY and challenge the attitudes and behaviors that result in bias and discrimination.

Ingredients Individuals - Create spaces and opportunities for diverse groups of INDIVIDUALS to learn about themselves and one another, thereby beginning to reduce stereotypes and bias. Interactions – Emphasize experiential learning that leads to honest and authentic human INTERACTION. Issues - Develop awareness and understanding about critical ISSUES of prejudice, discrimination and bias.

impact Infuse – INFUSE passion and build skills that empower individuals to act as change agents in their schools, business and communities. Ignite - IGNITE collective action to improve academic achievement, increase workplace productivity and enhance local trust. Inspire – INSPIRE communities we serve to become places that include and value all.

Part 3 – Strategize as group how you can keep the balloons in the air. -What was some of the strategies you used that worked? -What did not work?

Get in a circle and state 1 like and 1 dislike. Everyone in the circle must repeat what the others have stated within the group. Moore “Getting to know You” Get in a circle and state your first, middle and last name. Give a nickname then list how you identify yourself (nationality).
