Thesis Both careers, nursing and a family therapist both involve helping, saving lives and listening to patients. I really enjoy both careers the most but I would like to have a more hands on job.

Background Growing up I’ve always wanted to become a nurse. It has always been interesting to me and something I have found that came easy for me. Recently I have been considering being a Therapist because I’m a great listener and I really enjoy helping others. I wanted to research both careers to help me figure out what is best for me in the future and will benefit me more. While researching both careers I kept going back and forth between the two. I have officially decided I want to continue my career with becoming a registered nurse.

I will be able to save lives, great helping profession diverse and interesting bonding experiences flexibility good pay exposed to all types of germs and viruses can’t be squeamish dealing with blood can be very stressful patients do not always want or appreciate your help see sad situations deaths

Pros and Cons Family Therapy
Reward helping people overcome their challenges high earning potential ability to work for yourself working with new people everyday dealing with clients can be stressful and draining not very flexible having to set up your own practice dealing with billing issues

What career would be better for me?
Becoming a Registered nurse will definitely be a hard obstacle but I know I can accomplish it. Researching both careers helped me find my career and which path will be better for me in the end.
