Take a professional who works with children – what is their role in keeping children safe? Roles will have different levels of responsibility. What are our roles and responsibilities?

15 Boundaries and confidentiality
The Data Protection Act 1998 clearly defines how personal information should be stored If a child's welfare is in question a detailed and accurate report will be needed. These reports may be kept separately to other information about the child as they may have to be shared with other professionals. Confidentiality issues should never be discussed outside of the setting. Unless in a formal review with other professionals present Boundaries and confidentiality
