2. Señora Crognale Going into year 20 teaching Spanish
Grew up Speaking Spanish. Mom was from Cuba
Mom was a Spanish teacher too!
My Cuban grandparents are/were a very BIG part of my life
Traveled to Spain, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and 2 years ago…CUBA!!!

3. I live in Holland with my husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 much!

4. Course Objectives To foster a love for Spanish culture and language
Prepare students for Spanish II, either regular or honors
Finish 3 units (each unit has 2 chapters)
Have fun!!!!

5. Grading
20% Homework (not too much in the beginning, but should expect something every weeknight (no weekends)..\Spanish stamp and grade sheet.doc
25% tests/projects (usually 1 per mp)
35% quizzes (given each Friday)
20% class participation & preparation
Sign up for the Spanish word of the day. I accept 5 words per test/quiz for extra credit.
It is the student’s responsibility to make up work!!

7. I took 2 years of Spanish in high school and I can’t remember a thing…how can I help my child!
Practice at home daily (review pages at end of each chapter)
Make flashcards or go to Be a partner in quizzing of dittos/flashcards

I will prepare materials and activities for class to generate enthusiasm for learning.
Develop a relationship with your child. I’m a mommy too, so I know they are your whole world
