Pizza Talks ~300$ Planning for 6 total talks for Fall and Spring semesters Help members come in contact with professionals Assess options for career path and provide insight and advice Hosted by Trinity professors, local engineers, and industry professionals Including IEEE SPAC Database Phase I funds used to host and provide refreshment University funding used to provide food

Socials and Student Meetings ~$600
Two membership drives at beginning of both semesters Interact with other IEEE chapters in the San Antonio area Become involved with local non-IEEE organizations Engineering faculty research drive Writing workshops held by faculty and Electric Circuits tutoring sessions

Hosted by the Denver Section on April 1st-2nd 2017 Organize robotics team Train individuals for Circuit Design competition Maintain interest in Student Papers competition

Funding Request Break Down
Event Description Estimated Expenditure ($) Pizza Talks & Membership Drives 6 pizza talk programs by professors and experts will be hosted throughout the academic year Membership drives will help maintain and expand the current member base and allow for larger events. 300 Engineering Socials Meetings IEEE social events such as barbeque socials will be organized to allow members of IEEE to get to know one another and promote interest in other events. IEEE Meetings will be focused more towards explaining goals and upcoming projects to all IEEE members. 150 Off Campus Events Events with other engineering and science organizations in San Antonio. Engineering Research Drive IEEE sponsored function where students can meet professors to discuss available research positions. 125 Weekly Tutoring Sessions for Electric Circuits and Electronics I IEEE will sponsor weekly tutoring sessions for students in need of help in the Electric Circuits (Fall) and Electronics I (Spring) Courses. Professional Writing Workshop Professional Writing workshops will be held by Dr. Joshua Schwartz, to teach students the tools required for technical writing. Funding will be used to cover for refreshments 50 Robotics Team Team responsible for constructing robot to compete in R5 robotics competition 100 Total 1000
