1 Everyone has a Dream!

2 What is God's Dream for You?

3 Ideal or Reality

4 What God has to say about our lives

5 Beauty in Design Flawed in Nature

6 Beauty in Design 13 For you created my inmost being;    you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made    your works are wonderful,    I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you    when I was made in the secret place,    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;    all the days ordained for me were written in your book    before one of them came to be. Psa. 139:13-16

7 Flawed in Nature “There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;     there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away,     they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good,     not even one.” 13 “Their throats are open graves;     their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” 14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 ruin and misery mark their ways, 17 and the way of peace they do not know.” 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Rom 3:10-18

8 Key Words No one “Righteous” – equal in character to God
No one “Understands” – mentally comprehends God No one “Seeks” – searches after finding God All “Turned away” – deviated from God’s design Together “Become worthless” – unprofitable - not paying attention to God’s standards or values No one does “Good” – no moral excellence in character No “Fear of God” – no alarm or respect for who God is and what He says or does

9 How the Flawed (Sinful) Nature expresses itself
“Their throats are open graves;     their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.” Rom.3:13-17

10 Redemption The only Cure

11 “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood — to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus Rom. 3:22-26

12 Redemption Righteousness is given (Given a new nature equal to God)
Justification is declared through Christ (Charges dropped & declared holy) Atonement made through Christ’s blood (Wages paid & sin covered) Freedom granted
