8 Community Policing Division
Implement Three District Policing – Next days District 1 – Beaches/Island District 2 – The City of Palm Coast District 3 – West side/Ranches/Farms/Daytona North We are going to move from what is termed as a traditional model of policing to a guardian model. The transition to guardianship style policing will be slow and require a change in the culture of the organization. We seek to be trusted community partners working collaboratively with members of our community to make neighborhoods stronger and safer. We will need to work together with neighborhood residents to identify problems and then collaborate with one another to formulate workable solutions that in the end will produce meaningful results. We need to do this together in order to make our community safer - law enforcement can not do it alone.

10 Population Trends & Law Enforcement Calls for Service
The Bureau of Economic and Business Research projects the population of Flagler County will increase to more than 120,000 by Presently, the majority of calls that the Sheriff’s Office responds to are within the city of Palm Coast. We feel it is safe to say that as our population rises, demands placed on all facets of the Sheriff’s operations will also rise. In order to better meet those challenges, we will need to conduct a manpower allocation study and future needs assessment. This will allow us to complete a multi-year strategic plan which will serve a roadmap as we move forward. The plan will help to ensure that our plans can be implemented in a fiscally responsible manner.
