Apprenticeships Create a set of trailblazer apprenticeship standards from Levels 3/4 to 7 for a small number of key professional and technical occupations aligned with regional growth sectors (Port and Logistics, Advanced Manufacturing and Low Carbon). The aim is to provide clear progression routes from Advanced, Higher, Degree and Postgraduate apprenticeships

Deck Cadets BSc(Hons) and FD Seagoing
Shore option – Nautical content but with alternative placement

Engineering Cadets BEng Mechanical and Marine Engineering
Structured in similar pattern to Deck Summer periods for seatime/short courses/workshop Seatime in two phases

Sea to Shore Project Ulysses – Transition to shore side and recognition of professional qualifications Those coming ashore lack Leadership and Management (translated to communication, budgetary and commercial skills) Command to collegiate Cultural shift

MSc and Top-Up OOW completed as part of BSc(Hons) or FD
FD cadets can progress direct to Top-Up to BSc(Hons) HND can usually progress after completion of distance learning module Mate/Master proceed to MSc

Summary Major investment in facilities on main Liverpool City Campus
Development of Apprenticeship programmes across all levels Range of courses still provided FD, BSc, BEng, MSc, DipHE, CertHE Allow for continued training or a move to shore
