Christian teachings about the Soul
The Christian Church teaches that the soul is immortal (lives forever), makes a person unique, is invisible, affects how a person lives their life, is not physical, allows a person to relate to God, is housed by the body, can be in conflict with the body, as the body may want earthly desires, when the soulmay want to do what God desires
What happens at a Christian Funeral?
Bible Readings – Reflect ideas of the afterlife and Heaven
Prayers – Said for the deceased and their family
Eulogy – memories of the deceased person are shared
Hymns – Sung during the service, chosen by the deceased or their family
Eucharist – Reminds them of the death and resurrection of Jesus
Committal – The body is cremated or committed to the earth

Eulogy – The speech or talk given at a funeral about the person who has died
