The students are getting access to clinics, wards and theatres.
Being able to follow a patient is great.
Covering a lot of the curriculum early in the year.
Spending time in areas of interest e.g. acute medicine.
Getting an insight into rural medicine and GP team.

The website is a positive factor of the LIC supporting the students’ learning.
Formative assessments indicate the students are able to perform at a good standard.
Gaps in learning are being identified so they can be addressed.
A bank of specialists in each region who support the LIC students is being developed.
Developments to improve the ease of extracting data from the website needed.
