3 Interesting Facts Population: million people live in Spain (2014). The majority of the people live in cities and towns. Capital: Madrid with 3.2 million inhabitants is not only Spain's capital city but also the biggest city. Language: Spanish Religion:Catholic Christianity is by far the largest religion in Spain. Currency:Euros but before 1999 was Pesetes. Flag colours: red and yellow.

4 Some Traditional Spanish Foods
Paella: A Valencian rice dish loaded with seafood and chicken or rabbit, saffron and vegetables.

5 Tortilla Española: A rich, chunky potato omelette – a staple throughout Spain.

6 Churros A churro is a fried-dough pastry—like a doughnut—based snack, served with chocolate sauce.

7 TASK Cut out and decorate your churro with Spanish facts and pictures.
Make it as colourful as possible! The best churro(s) will be displayed in school for your adults to see. We will decide who has made the best churro and the winner can choose a prize from the cupboard!
