4 What Is bullfighting Bullfighting is the sport of baiting and killing a bull as a public spectacle in an outdoor arena.

5 How did bull fighting start
Bullfighting festivals have existed for around 300 years, although the fighting of bulls dates back to Roman times. The first bullfights were on horseback to celebrate special occasions such as royal weddings and military victories. Records suggest the killing of bulls for public entertainment also took place in England in ancient times. Today, bullfighting involves riders on horseback as well as people, called matadors, who fight against the bull on foot.

6 What are the benefits of bullfighting
Bullfighting is part of the Spanish identity; the bull leads a pampered life until it enters the ring (where it will die within 20 minutes) and therefore receives better treatment than the millions of animals, fattened for mass consumption; the bull is so driven by adrenaline that it doesn’t really suffer; the bullfighting supports a $2 billion industry employing over 100,000 people; the breeding of the bulls benefits the environment because it protects land that might otherwise fall to urban development or golf courses.
