The block anesthesia is given with a patient in the prone or lateral position.
It is impossible to change the position for a patient with severe combined trauma, critical craniocerebral injury and multiple fractures of crus bones.

Conclusions The sciatic nerve block anesthesia by means of an anterior-medial approach was given to 35 patients. As a results, analgesia was reached in all cases. No complications were observed at the time of giving the anesthesia and the postoperative period.
