“In [Jesus] was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:4-5

I came that they may have life and have it abundantly John 10:10b

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30-31

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. …  But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:6-7, 12

CREATION Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. Hebrews 1:1-3

CREATION For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17

REVELATION

REVELATION And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. John 1:14, 18

REVELATION “It may be that some day there will come forth from God a Word, a logos, who will reveal all the mysteries and make everything plain.” Plato

REVELATION “If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:7

REVELATION And the Word became flesh and [tabernacled] among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

REVELATION

SALVATION

SALVATION For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. John 1:16

SALVATION But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God John 1:12

SALVATION The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not recognize him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. John 1:9-11

SALVATION He said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.” John 8:23-24
