7 Benefits from MTSS Implementation Refocusing on ALL
Provides immediate assistance to students Know immediately, “Is what we are doing working?” Know which students need more/different Know what each individual student needs Provide structures to deliver what students need Proactive not Reactive Uses resources wisely in a school system Focus is on ALL students from the beginning Raise student achievement systemically Embrace a culture of “EVERY student can learn PDSA and MTSS connection

8 Areas for Improvement MTSS
Plans for Improvement: 1. Evaluate at school level- where are you as a school in implementing MTSS and consider setting a goal in SIP. Complete Self Assessment and bring to September principals meeting. Self Assessment 2. Fidelity measures at each TIER- CWT looking for specific differentiated core strategies, IF/Principal sign off on Tiered support, Lesson and Intervention Plans Monitored, Progress Monitoring and continued PLC discussions 3. Master scheduling support and fidelity to master schedule 4. RTI stored training- Will include new updates from state training and early warning system 5. DATA day training with IFs so data days can continue to be deployed at school level 6. Training for counselors on behavioral piece Fidelity to Tier 1 Differentiated Core Continued Fidelity to Progress Monitoring and Understanding Lowest Critical Skill Master Scheduling for Maximum Instructional time/Support Developing Better Understanding of How to Utilize RTI Stored Behavioral Intervention

9 Training Dates DATE LOCATION WHO ATTENDS TOPIC Tuesday, September 19

10 Reminders MTSS team replaces the SAT team and the SAT process.
PLC teams work together to complete the work within the tiers. IF guides the academic piece/Counselors guide the behavioral piece. Curriculum team has designed a timeline for MTSS processes. Curriculum team has revamped the handbook. Will release after conference call with Brie in order to capture the changes to the documentation that have occurred from the state level.

11 Expectations All documentation is to be housed in RTI stored for Tiers 1, 2 and 3. Math, behavior and reading will be housed in RTI stored. Interventions and progress monitoring will be stored in the system. Fidelity to differentiated core strategies, interventions and master schedules. Ask curriculum team for support- Deidra, Alisha, Wade for general MTSS support (Tiers 1 and 2). Dr. Noland for EC referral support when reach Tier 3.
