4 Long term success Identification of key factors or performance metrics or elements of perspective Adoption of P-D-C-A cycle Strategical approach Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

7 Operation Management in a balanced manner
Factorization of operation in performance metrics Management of metrics: Action plan Balancing of management: perspective grouping, weightage etc. BPET I or BPET II ? Which balances more? Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

8 Use of strategic tool like Balanced scorecard
Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is a technique introduced by Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton in the year 1992 It describes beyond the traditional measurement of financial performance In the present research work the same has been followed in phases; Phase I: The rationalized 70 identified key factors duly codified and regrouped in the perspectives like; Financial (F), Customer (C), Learning & Growth (L&G) and Internal Business Process (IBP) Phase II: Balanced Scorecard for different groups (A, B, C & D) for four different perspectives can be prepared and examined The above exercise will enable performance management by using BSC as a strategic tool by intending SH Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

9 Grouping & Regrouping of performance metrics
Stakeholders have been identified in ICE (Indian Carpet Expo) held in Varanasi & Delhi over the years Finite population could be covered due to availability of SH at a common place A bank of key factors created, grouped & regrouped as under; Action / KF Group Perspective Group’s Share F C L&G IBP Overall BPET I % CD (A) 4 5 7 12 28 40 IN (B) 3 1 15 21 ES (C) 2 6 CS (D) 18 BPET II 14 17 24 70 100 20 35 Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

10 Comparison Balanced Scorecard: BPET I & BPET II
BHU ppt Comparison.doc Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

11 Interpretation To derive direction for survival for sustainability
Linkage to P.I helps in finding out the gap in financial aspects of the organization & hence gives direction to mitigate the gap Utilization of ‘3H’ & ‘All well effect’ for overall organizational health Latest finding follows Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

12 Latest findings Validation completed for BPET I & II both
BHU Latest findings.doc Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

13 Conclusion Perspective group of performance metrics as per BPET I reveals to be more relevant as compared to BPET II Application of the tool for performance monitoring, prediction and preventive action for self/organization/unit/industry Balanced scorecard as per BPET I therefore proves to be more beneficial than Kaplan & Norton’s concept of Balanced Scorecard (1992) in handmade carpet industry context BPET I or new Balanced Scorecard can be tried else where also for performance measurement & management Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow

14 Presented by Propa Goswami, Research Scholar, U.P.Technical University, Lucknow
