Zeng-hou-yi Bells, were unearthed in 1978 in Zeng-hou-yi tomb in Hubei Provience. The bells were made in 433 B.C.. The bianzhong are constituted by altogether 64 bells, which are hung at three levels and are divided into eight groups. ( ) The biggest bell is of 153.4cm high and 203.6kg weight. The smallest bell is of 20.4 cm high and 2.4kg weight. Each bell can play two tones with three degrees’ interval.

古琴 Ancient Zither Guqin is a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument. It has traditionally been favored buy scholars and literati. Four arts (四艺/the four arts of Chinese scholar: Qin (guqin), Qi (Weiqi Go game) , Shu (Chinese calligraphy) and hua (Chinese painting)

古筝 Guzheng It has 16 or more strings and movable bridges. The modern Guzheng usually has 21 strings with a length of 64 inches. Performers playing the Guzheng often wear finger picks on right hand or both hands. Guzheng should not be confused with Guqin (Guqin w/o moveable bridges).

箫 xiao Flute 笛 di Flute Almost made of bamboo, the best being “purple bamboo” Either be made plain, or have a horn inlay at the end. Is widely used in many genres of Chinese folk music , as well as Chinese opera, and the modern Chinese orchestra.

琵琶 Pipa Chines Lute Fou-stringed Chinese musical instrument.
It has a pear shaped wooden body with a varying number of frets ranging from 12 to 26. One of the most popular instrument for almost 2000 years.

Erhu can be traced back to proto-Mongolic instruments introduced to China more than a thousand years ago. It is believed to have evolved from the Xiqin (奚 琴). The xiqin is believed to have originated from the Xi people of Central Asia, and have come to China in the 10th century.

扬琴 yangqin Chines hammered dulcimer
Originally from Persia. The “yang” in the earlier version was written with the character “洋”, meaning foreign. Modern Yangqin usually have 144 strings, with each pitch running in courses, with up to 5 strings per course. The hammers are made of flexible bamboo and one end is half covered by rubber. Rubber side for a softer sound, and with the bamboo side for a crisper, more percussive sound.

文琴 Wenqin The #Wenqin (#文琴) is a combination of traditional Chinese folk instruments, invented by Wen Zhengqiu (文正球) in The name means "Wen's zither". The elements of guqin (古琴), guzheng (古筝), erhu (二胡), sanxian (三弦), konghou (箜篌) and more are combined in one instrument! The wenqin comes with 4 different sizes.
