8 Who is the main character? Where is the main character?
Create your own Narrative Drawing! Who is the main character? Where is the main character? Is it day or night? Is he or she alone or with other people? What was challenging to the main character? How did he or she react? Are you going to leave the viewers in suspense, or will you tell them how it all worked out? Remember narratives may be designed to teach, enlighten, or inspire, and often carry moral, social or patriotic messages. At the bottom of the picture frame draw a rectangular box. Title your work, and in that same space, write a few sentences to give the viewer a little “insider information” about your picture. Watson and the Shark by John Singleton Copley A group of brave sailors come to the rescue of young Brook Watson as he fights off a fearsome shark attack while swimming in the harbor. Though he lost a foot in the battle, Brook Watson lived to tell of his most adventurous victory at sea!
