Cape Town mid-December will be peak season! Expensive hotels and flights, few rooms available…
Akademik Treshnikov will be located at V&A Waterfront, downtown Cape Town (very safe, very touristic)
Thus: book your flights early, try to minimise nights in hotels, use block booking by EPFL for 17th December if necessary
Sleeping on the ship will be possible from 18th December
An informal get-together will be organised on 18th December in the evening in Cape Town, official events will take place on 19th and 20th December

5. Next administrative steps
Finalise all grant agreements by end July
Process: your feedback, our response, finalisation, signature on your side (sending by ), signature on our side (sending by and in paper for archive) => We need your support!!!
“On-boarding file” for all persons coming on board to be sent to you early August and to be returned asap (at the latest 1 October):
1) Contact form; 2) On-boarding agreement; 3) Proof of insurance; 4) Medical form
As a reminder, your insurances must cover:
Health (international treatment and hospitalisation and repatriation)
Property (your equipment and instruments)
Liability (such as bodily injuries to others as a result of your action)
Book your flights and hotel rooms (information about block bookings in Cape Town and other ports will follow)

6. Social calendar
To complement the busy work schedule on board, we will put together a “social schedule” on board with
- Special occasions and celebrations (Christmas – New Year’s Eve, …)
- Dedicated conferences and thematic evenings
- Anything relevant (as well as interesting and fun)…
