2 Context Under the Energy Transition Law, the boost to energy efficiency is materializing Government institutions and other actors have been pushing and promoting the concept strongly The market has not yet developed and there are major barriers to eliminate Lack of energy culture in consumers prevents them from seeing energy-saving opportunities and does not have the elements to demand from their technology suppliers The supplier base must be strengthened as they are unfamiliar with energy efficiency and its implications

5 Finished and operational instruments
11 suppliers validated where 4 are manufacturers 8 suppliers in process integrate file for validation There are another 30 suppliers with potential, specially great manufacturers. With the help of the regional promotion network of FIRA, 80 potential projects have been identified in which to promote the application of ESI 3 projects in the process of formalization and at least 5 projects with immediate potential to be incorporated National advertising campaign to start Involvement of critical actors such as government institutions Banks have expectation of green product where ESI could be an attractive offer

6 Next steps Involve large manufacturers and their dealer network in the scheme Work in coordination with business groups to create a culture of energy efficiency and the importance of securing savings Continue to train suppliers to succeed in structuring successful projects Evaluate and learn from early projects to improve the scheme Increase the interest of the bank in the scheme

7 Lessons learned Through the joint work with FIRA has been achieved to have a program that is already operational. NDB are critical One of the main challenges was to integrate each instrument seeking the balance of interest of the parties With regard to generating volume, it is essential to have positive experiences to count Being a developing market, it is important to invest in the development of culture: From the demand raising the awareness in EE From the offer, enabling suppliers to make well- designed measurements and to carry out projects that are reliable to the extent of compromising the savings

9 Challenges Tourism is a critical activity for the country.
There are hotel profiles that are highly energy demanding Once the justification of subsectors in hotels has been made, the implementation of the first cases must be very fast The FIRA platfom and experience must give advantage in the implementation. This project will include new technologies such as lighting and HVAC for the building approach This experience is important to develop ESI in the commercial and service sector
