"What's that mountain called
"What's that mountain called?", asked Michael, pointing to one side of the train. "It's a hill", replied Miss Smith, "and it's called Arthur's Seat." "Arthur must have a pretty big bum", whispered Paul to John, "if that's how big his seat is." A voice over the tanoid system told them that they would be arriving in Edinburgh Waverley train station in a few minutes. Passengers should make sure they take all of their belongings with them. "If you leave anything behind, it will end up in Aberdeen", said Miss Smith, "That's the next stop after this."

"Does that include Mr Maxwell?", said Claire.
Both Mr Maxwell and PC MacDowell had slept for a lot of the journey, leaving Miss Smith, Jill and Andrew to look after the group. Brian suspected they were only pretending to be asleep. Toby had been sick when the train pulled into York station. Jill and Miss Smith had dealt with him. He had been eating marshmallows, chocolate and prawn cocktail flavoured crisps, washed down by two large bottles of fizzy drink. "I think it was the fizzy drink that did it", said Matthew. "It must have made the marshmallows expand in his stomach." They all agreed they would probably never eat marshmallows again, having watched Toby throwing up.

Miss Smith led them out of the carriage, across the platform and up a flight of steps that took them to a very busy street. "What's that noise?", said Claire. "It sounds like......I don't know what it sounds like." "It's bagpipes", said Jill. A man was standing beside the entrance to the station playing on the bagpipes. There were lots of tourists standing around listening to him. "I'm going to be sick again", said Toby. One look from Miss Smith and he changed his mind. "The man is wearing a skirt", said Abigail. "It's not a skirt", said Jill. "It's called a kilt and you'll all get a chance to wear one this week." They posed for a photograph with the kilted piper and then followed Miss Smith across the road to their hotel.
