Oil X Water Example of Oil/Water separation
A single “Interface” float switch (M /90) can be attached to a pipe to detect the required oil / water level. When the tank is “Full of water”, the water is above the interface float level and it floats to the upper position. As the amount of oil increases, the water is displaced below as the oil accumulates. Water Oil Interface float Interface Level X

As the oil level increases to the interface float level, the water is displaced by the oil and the float drops to the “lower” position, indicating the oil level is “Full”. After testing a single point switch, we can manufacture a custom interface switch or continuous level sensor to detect for distant X. For production, this can also be an SPDT switch to indicated both conditions for a “fail safe” indicator. Water Oil Interface float X Interface Level
