Monitoring of Implementation In 2016, we launched assessments on: Macroprudential Surveillance and Reinsurance Supervisory Cooperation and Information Exchange In addition, we developed a plan for assessment and monitoring of implementation of G-SII policy measures to launch in 2017 Key Achievements in this area: Over 115 Countries have participated in IAIS Assessments Average of 70 countries participate in each assessment, representing all IAIS regions and economic / insurance market development Over 1000 ICP Assessment s have been completed to date Recognised by FSB, IMF, World Bank and others as providing a robust tool for assessment

Supervisory Capacity Building In 2016, we continued our efforts to enhance the availability of capacity building tools and opportunities With FSI, 8 insurance seminars including FSI-IAIS FIRST ONE Provided financial support for 10 regional seminars Launched comprehensive programme to review and revise the Core Curriculum Partnered with A2ii on consultation calls, regional seminars, consultative forums Conducted survey on capacity building and development needs Key Achievements Since 2013, 1700 Supervisors participated in IAIS sponsored events Demand for IAIS financial support has increased approximately 20% since 2013 With FSI, innovative programme for new supervisors (FIRST ONE) - participation growth averaging 30% per year, with over 200 participants in the current programme 96 Jurisdictions have participated in the A2ii – IAIS Consultation Calls .

Financial Inclusion In 2016, we finalised Application Paper on Mutuals, Cooperatives and Community Based Organisations We have also been working on: An application paper on product oversight An application paper on digital technology An application paper, in partnership with the International Actuarial Association, on actuarial practices in in inclusive insurance An issues paper, with the World Bank, on index based insurance. Supervisory Cooperation Welcomed another 5 authorities to the MMoU for a total of 61 signatories, with another 14 jurisdictions at some stage in the validation process T

Application Paper on MCCOs Recognition of important role of MCCOs in supporting financial inclusion and improving access to insurance Distinguishing features of MCCOs merit special treatment in respect of a proportionate application of the ICPs Apply relevant ICPs with proper regard of MCCO context and limited to aspects in which proportionate application is called for Specific consideration for: Formalisation and Licensing Corporate Governance Capital Portfolio transfer, demutualization, etc. Supervision and supervisory review
