Team Juggling Get into teams (5 to 7 people). Stand in a circle.

Pass around the group (can’t pass to the person next to you). When confident add more balls in. Review Q’s: Why is it important to co-operate as a team when playing the game? The key components of physical literacy, the letters and words, if you will, are the fundamental movement skills! When a child is confident and competent with these skills, they can develop sport-specific and complex movement skills that allow them to enjoy sport and physical activity. High Baby Move in and out of one another. First gear = slow walk.

First gear = slow walk. 2nd gear = faster walk (make sure heel touches the ground first). Add in ‘good evening’, make eye contact with someone coming in the opposite direction. 3rd gear = jogging, progress to adding in a High 5 with your R hand with people coming in the opposite direction (still say ‘good evening’). Then add in low five, must alternate a low 5 with a high 5. Competition – how many high or low 5’s can you complete in 20 seconds? Must be a different person each time. Stepping Stones Game Work in pairs.

Pairs start around the outside of the hall. Hoops and spots set up in the middle of the area. Take it in turns to play stepping stones, jumping and hopping from one side to the other. Try to avoid jumping/landing on the same spot or hoop as someone else. If you land on a spot you must land on 1 foot, if you land in a hoop you must land on 2 feet. When not your turn watch your partner, how many steps does it take them to get to the other side? Swap and repeat.
