Robot Presentation Funkbois JB Morris, Michael Ho and Spencer Huddleston

2 EGN 1935 : ECE (ad)Ventures Team: The Funkbois Robot: Funkmaster Flex
Members: JB Morris, Michael Ho, Spencer Huddleston Spring 2016

3 JB Morris •Sophomore •Mechanical Engineering
•This course gave me some knowledge of how AI works •This course will help me in the summer in DML •I am deciding whether or not to attend law school after finishing engineering •I either want to open my own firm or become a patent lawyer •My words of wisdom are to pick an easy song for your robot

4 Michael Ho 2nd Semester Freshman
Currently Exploratory Engineering, but looking into either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Learned about the basics behind circuitry, sensors, sound, and programming Planning on studying abroad next summer or possibly taking on an internship regarding engineering (knowledge learned here will help me do so) Considering going into industry in the future (will decide as time progresses) Word to the wise: Don’t procrastinate on studying! (study a week ahead instead of the night before)

5 Spencer Huddleston Freshman
Business Administration (switching to Exploratory Engineering in Fall) Play trumpet/piano Learned the basics about robotics and the many aspects involved May study abroad next summer to further my studies in Spanish and/or get an internship Join organizations and get involved, get to know people on campus

6 Robot Story The quest for the essence of funk, located in the hidden city of Funkytown

7 Funk Master Flex’s Journey to Funk

8 Conclusions Robotics can be very fun and intellectually challenging, and we believe it’s important for future students to try different things when coming into UF, including taking a look into Electrical Engineering/Robots. Robotics is a stimulating experience when it comes to programming and learning about robots. It’s something all exploratory engineering majors should try once before fully deciding what they want to do, as well as a fun class for exploratory majors to try in general.
