Our name refers to our origins: Southern Cone of South America
Viña Cono Sur was conceived to explore foreign export markets with expressive and innovative wines from the New World
Considered to be different from the competition within Chile due to our marketing and innovative edge:
- First Chilean Winery with website in 1997 linked to our corks
- First Chilean Winery to use screw cap and synthetic cork
Cono Sur wines denote quality and consistency.

3. Our History
FOUNDED IN 1993 WITH THE AIM OF CREATING INNOVATIVE PREMIUM WINES THAT WOULD TRANSMIT THE NEW WORLD SPIRIT
1994 In its first year of trading, Cono Sur sold over cases of wine to key foreign markets
1996 Purchase of Santa Elisa Estate in Chimbarongo, 300 hectares with vineyards average age of 25 years
1998 Implementation of the Integrated Vineyard Management
1999 Building of a Pinot Noir cellar in consultation with the French enologist Martin Prieur
2000 First year of organic vineyard management
2001 Best selling Chilean wine Brand in the UK
2002 ISO Certifications: (quality) / (environment)
2002 Cono Sur Winery is the 4th largest exporter of Chilean bottled wine

Bottling, shipping and customer service handled as a service by Concha y Toro to Cono Sur
