2 General Overview the book of Proverbs is a collection of wise sayings, mostly by Solomon (1 Kngs. 4:29-32) “proverb” – a concise statement teaching a general and practical truth like the Psalms, there is no narrative theme, though there is the overall theme of wisdom general divisions in the book ch.1-9  essays on wisdom and practical applications ch  individual proverbs

5 Conclusion the book of Proverbs is a reference book for many choices in life cannot get a practical understanding on just one reading, should refer to it periodically an excellent source of short, thought-provoking memory verses Prov. 3:3-4 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
