6 CLIMATE & WEATHER The climate is Semi Arid.
Weather during second week of Oct in Delhi is generally pleasant and clear sky. Average temperature in New Delhi for the month of Oct ranges from 21 °C to 35 °C.

7 TRAVEL PLAN Travel expenditure will be borne by the Govt. of India.
Air tickets will be provided for travel by economy class, shortest route. In addition to above, no other allowance/ Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) will be paid. Tickets will be booked on receipt of nominations alongwith passport details, which is requested by 31 Aug 2017.

8 RECEPTION RDC will be established at Airport
Designated liaison officers will receive the arriving teams at the airport and escort them to Hotel. Special assistance, if any, for custom clearance etc may be intimated in advance to NDRF.

9 ACCOMMODATION The accommodation has been arranged at The Hotel Ashok, New Delhi by Govt. of India for the teams for 5 nights & 6 days (Check-in on 09 Oct (1200 Hrs) & Check out on 14 Oct (1200 Hrs)). The Ashok Hotel is approximately 14 Kms and about 23 minutes drive from IGI Airport, New Delhi. Rooms will be provided on twin sharing basis Separate room will be provided to head and deputy head of the delegations.

10 TRANSPORT Airport pick & drop will be arranged.
Transport will be provided to the team to and from exercise venues as per exercise schedule. Requirement of load carrier vehicle, if any for transportation of team equipment may be informed in advance to NDRF.

11 COMMUNICATION During the FTX, two walkie-talkie sets will be provided to each team at the team BOO. Local mobile phone SIM, if required may be arranged through respective Embassy/High Commission. Liaison officers shall be in possession of walkie-talkie sets and mobile phones, if required the information may be shared through them.

12 MEDICAL COVER Medical post will be established at the FTX venue.
Medical Officers will be available at the FTX venue during the exercise. Medical assistance, required if any, during stay at Hotel may be intimated to Hotel reception/Exercise help desk, so that the requirement may be attended to promptly. Since major component of the Exercise is Field Exercise, it is expected that all the participants are physically fit.

13 POWER SUPPLY The standard electricity supply in India is 240 volts, 50 Hertz with British type three pin socket.

14 LOCAL TIME Indian standard Time is + 5 : 30 hours of GMT.
There is only one time zone in India.

15 INDICATIVE PARTICIPATION
Total – 19 representatives from each Member State Member States are requested to nominate : Senior Officer from Nodal Ministry/Authority (Policy Side) - 1 Head of the Disaster Response of the country Middle level officials – in-charge of operations 2 Professionals/officers – base/ ground operations 15

16 Canine Squad, if part of the rescue teams the details may be informed with the details of the participants. All required vaccination and formalities as per international norms should be in compliance with to avoid any inconvenience on arrival. Drone, if brought by the teams to be mentioned with the nomination list. Heavy equipment should not be brought alongwith the teams.

17 Display of equipment shall be held tomorrow, requirements if any, for the main exercise same may be projected with the details of the participants. Wireless sets during the exercise shall be provided to each team, hence teams not to bring wireless communication sets. Shoring equipment shall also be provided to each teams during the exercise, if required.
