Mother’s Day Mother’s Day was created in 1908 by Anna Jarvis. First official Mother’s Day celebration was at a Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia. President Woodrow Wilson signed a measure officially establishing the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day.

Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16 - 'Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

Mother’s Day Life is valued, but all will die. Hebrews 9:27 – And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, Genesis 3:19 – In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."

Mother’s Day Mother’s Do NOT Escape This Psalm 90:10 – The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psalm 90:12 – So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Mother’s Day Good Mother’s in Scripture Proverbs 31:10-31 She is industrious. She is charitable. She cares for her husband and children. She supplements the home’s income. Her family praise her.

Mother’s Day Titus 2: that they admonish (train-KJV) the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. The good mother practices Holiness and Honors God in her life.
