Allah is Goodness and the Goodness in
“Lessons Learned from the return back from Tabuk”
2
The Prophet arrived in Tabuk and remained there for nineteen days
The Prophet arrived in Tabuk and remained there for nineteen days. The Romans were still not there and so no major fighting against them occurred, however some of the prophet's men died from the drought and hardship of the journey One such man was Abdullah bin Bijadain. It is reported on the authority of 'Abdullah Ibn Masud: "I got up in the middle of the night when I was with the Messenger of Allah during the Tabuk campaign and I saw a torch burning in a corner of the camp, so I went to it and I saw the Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr and 'Umar. And I saw that 'Abdullah Dhul Bijadain had died and they had dug a hole for him and the Messenger of Allah was in the hole and Abu Bakr and 'Umar were passing him down to him and The Prophet was saying: "Oh, Allah! I have been well pleased with him, so be You (also) be Well Pleased with him." 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud said: "Would that I were the inhabitant of that hole."

So despite having hipocrites amongst him, the Prophet also had good Believing men amongst him
And our Prophet was careful to not allow the hipocrites to steal the lime- light away from those who were good. This is the test for so many of us today. We often become caught up in trying to fight against the fitnah of the hipocrites that we neglect or overlook our good brothers and sisters . The Prophet knew how to balance the two and not allow his time spent fighting against the hipocrites to interfer in seeing the accomplishments of the good Muslim.
4
Also during this time spent in tabuk, the angel Jibreel came to the Prophet and said to him:
"Oh, Muhammad! Perform the funeral prayer for Mu'awiyah Ibn Al-Mizani." So the Messenger of Allah went out and Jibreel a came down with seventy thousand angels and he placed his right wing on the mountains and they were humbled and he placed his left wing on the lands and they were humbled, then he looked towards Makkah and Al-Madinah and the Messenger of Allah prayed over him (Mu'awiyah) along with Jibreel and the angels. After he had finished praying, he said: "Oh, Jibreel! Due to what has Mu'awiyah attained this high rank?"
5
Jabreel answered with the following:
It was due to his recitation of “Allah is one” When sitting and when standing, while riding and while walking." So thus despite the hipocrites there were those amongst the Prophet who were sincere in their belief and strove with their lives to help establish the truth Such can be the case for us today. If we remain firm in our belief despite the antics of the hipocrites, and we resist them and the whispers of Shaytaan, Allah will reward us with the best reward and that is to meet with the righteous on the day of judgement
6
And the hipocrites will never cease in their plan to take you away from that good meeting
As the Prophet left tabuk to retun back home to Madina, some of the hypocrites plotted against him; they conspired to toss him from the top of a mountain pass on the road. When they reached the mountain pass, the hipocrites tried to get the prophet go before them; but Allah had informed the Prophet of their plan. The Prophet said to the people: "Whoever wishes to go by the bottom of the valley (he should do so) for it is wider for him." And he took the mountain pass while the people went via the bottom of the valley, except those conspirators, who covered their faces.
7
The prophet proceded throught the mountain pass with two of his men
He ordered one of the men to look at the people behind and see if he could recognize who they were, knowing that the people behind would be the hipocrites. The man looked behind and could not recognize the faces of any of the men, so the Prophet then told him the plan of the hipocrites. Upon learning of the plan, this man asked the prophet, why not kill these people? The Prophet answered: "I do not want the people to say that Muhammad has killed his own people”
8
Such was the wisdom of our Prophet
He knew the hipocrites would use anything they could in their plan to demean and destroy him. He knew that even if he had them executed for the evil they did, others would use it as a means of turning people against him. Such is the case for many of us today when dealing with the hipocrites. We find ourselves having to make decisions to not give them the amunition they seek in their plans to destroy us and stand in the way of the dawah.
9
Even still our Prophet was not free of the hipocrites
Even still our Prophet was not free of the hipocrites. As he neared Madina he came upon a newly built Mosque The people of the Mosque came out and greeted the Prophet and his army. "We have built a mosque for the sick and needy and for the rainy nights and we would like you to pray in it." Suddenly Allah sent a revelation to the Prophet telling him to destroy this mosque immediately. The prophet then turned to two of his men and told them: "Go to go to that mosque of evil and demolish it and burn it." These two men rushed out and then entered the mosque and they burnt it and destroyed it . These two men were Malik Ibn Ad- Dukhsum and Ma'n Ibn Adi
10
Again, two more of the Prophet's men proving their love and loyalty to Allah and his Prophet
They did not question the mission before them, they simply carried out their commands without question, which is the sign of one who truly believes. After the Mosque was destroyed Allah then revealed the following: "And as for those who put up a mosque by way of harm and disbelief and to disunite the Believers." (Quran 9:107) Yet again, another ploy of the hipocrites destroyed!
11
So thus we can see, our prophet and his companions were tested over and over again in their faith
The hipocrites and unbelievers amongst them were severe, yet they refused to allow them to stand in the way of the truth. To stand in the way of the Mission. To stand in the way of their relations with one another How many of us are successful in defeating the antics of the hipcrites? Again, Just because you say that you believe do you not think you will be tested? Are you so lame to think that all people who claim to be Muslim are such and good? Trust and honor are earned, not given away
