A manufacturer builds a mold for a desktop so that side AB is congruent to side CD, side BC is congruent to side DA, and the measure of angle ABC equals 90 degrees. Why must ABCD be a rectangle? Both pairs of opp. Sides of ABCD are cong. So ABCD is a parallelogram. Since measure angle ABC = 90 degrees, 1 angle of ABCD is a rt. Angle. ABCD is a rect. Because parallelograms with one right angle is a rectangle.
