2. Introduction
We have been studying magnets in class. Today you are going to go on an internet scavenger hunt to learn all you can about the power of the magnet. Your mission will be to teach others about magnets.

3. Task
You will become a magnet expert and create a beautiful informative brochure in order to share your knowledge with the world around- or at least the second graders.

4. Process
1.  Research the teacher approved websites to find out what a magnet is, how it works, and anything interesting you can learn about magnets.
2. After you research to find out your information you will then create a brochure about magnets showcasing what you have learned.  You must include the following information from your discovery:

What is magnetism? -- in your own words.
Name at least 3 objects that are magnetic.
Tell about or draw a picture that shows the north and south poles of magnets and how they attract and repel each other and tell about what a magnetic field is.
Describe how a compass works- include an illustration
Tell about 2 ways that we can use magnets.  Write at least 3 good sentences about each use.
