Harriet Tubman was an American bondwoman who escaped from slavery in the South. Birth: march 1822 in Maryland, USA Die: march 1913 in New York, USA Husbands: Nelson Davis (m. 1869–1888), John Tubman (m. 1844–1851) Children: Gertie Davis Worked: fields, lumberjack, laundress, nurse, and stove

The leader’s cause Harriet Tubman escaped slavery in 1849.
She became leading abolitionist. Her nickname is « the moise of black people » because she led hundreds of enslaved people to freedom along the route of the Underground Railroad. She dedicate her life to freedom.

The leader’s works She first free her sister and nieces.
She released 300 slaves. She receive honours military. « Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world » « I can’t die but once. »
